Nicolas Radulescu, born in Vienna into a German-American family of musicians, gained his first orchestral experiences at an early age. Under the lasting impact of hearing Celibidache perform Bruckner he received his first conducting lessons from his father Michael Radulescu, a pupil of Hans Swarowsky, and proceeded to study conducting at the Graz Music University with Martin Sieghart, Wolfgang Bozić and Johannes Prinz. In the course of his busy concert schedule he has appeared in such important venues as Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, the Mozarteum of Salzburg, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, working with renowned orchestras and soloists. Since its foundation in 2004 he conducts the Camerata Medica, Vienna, since 2007 he is also the principal conductor of the international chamber orchestra Camerata Pannonica, since 2010 of the Franz Schmidt Chamber Orchestra. In 2012 his work with this orchestra was nominated for the Appassionata Cultural Award. 2006 – 2013 he taught conducting at the Graz Music University. Since its foundation 2015 he teaches for Æsthetica Musicalis, a society he co-founded. Apart from his performing and teaching activities Nicolas Radulescu is artistic consultant of the Vienna Musikwissenschaftlicher Verlag’s Anton Bruckner Complete Edition.
